Miscellaneous
While in the past we have developed and optimized according to our customer requests and published all enhancements to all customers. From now on you will be informed about new features on your bookatonce desktop first. By clicking the respective options you may decide if and when you want to switch to a new feature.
With our latest update you may e.g. activate the invoicing dialog. It includes enhancements in structure and constitution according to your feedback and requests.
Another option is the new reservation summary. We have not only optimized design and structure but also provided a lot of new functionality. The new features are already available with the latest bookatonce version.
Apps
iPhone & iPad
You are owner of an Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and do not use one of our apps yet?
With bookatonce for iPad for instance you can look up availabilities at a glance! Inspire your guests with flexibility and outstanding service even previous to their arrival! No reservation inquiry remains unanswered, no guest preference unaccomplished – no matter where you are! And enjoy the freedom of working where it is most convenient to you.

Android
You are using an HTC, LG or other Smartphone running on an Android OS? Shortly bookatonce will be available with this OS as well. For a few selected customers we will provide the app in advance to the release as a beta trial version. Join the group and contact us on service@bookatonce.com: Subject „Android - Beta“.
Text templates
We have added new replacement codes to use for your individual text templates. A download version of the latest list is available in the member area under the tutorials for text templates with OpenOffice.
Articles
With the newly added article numbers or PLU codes you can look up your service charges even faster to post to an invoice. ?
(PLU = „Price Look-Up“: Unique number to make check-out and inventory control easier, faster, and more accurate.)
Printing registration cards
All Business Edition Customers may from now on print registration cards directly through bookatonce: Guest details will be printed from the profiles automatically to the registration cards. Your guests will simply have to sign the print out.
As usual the respective templates are available in the system data under „Text templates“ to edit or adjust them.
Export reports to Excel
The new window reporting „Reporting“ provides the opportunity to instantly look up all reports from one centralized functionality.
User of the Business Edition may also print the reports in an Excel list on top of the previously used PDF file.

In more than 6.000 hotels and hotel chains all around the world our employees have installed, setup and adjusted our products protel SPE (Single Property Edition) and protel MPE (Multi Property Edition); For the ideal usage of our software the hotels’ users are beeing instructed accurately by our coaches even before the initial start of operations.
bookatonce as the „Self-Service-Edition“ is constructed to enable smaller properties access to a professional software. Therefore this individual and charged service is disclaimed. That is why we have spent a great deal of efforts to drive developments into most intuitive usability. Not an easy challenge – it contains the allignment of complexity of business processes on the one hand and a user interface to handle as easy as possible. We love challenges and are always looking forward to new ideas and feedback for enhancement and improvements.
But not everyone is an autodidact. From 15 years of experience we have reliably learned and gathered information about how to support different types of learning when it gets to the introduction of a new software, just like during in school or college:
- The „Self-Service-User“ likes to use the manual or watch a video and can look these up in the member area of our homepage. We provide tutorials, videos and a FAQ area.
- For customers preferring a personal instruction we offer an individual 2 hour online training session for 149,-€.
- The ones who rather make a quick phone call for helpful words and deeds can contact our highly qualified protel support team. This service is charged with a fee of 1,99 EUR* per minute billed with your quarterly invoicing.
- All Business Edition Customers may make use of the option for a telephone support flat rate. The addition can be booked it in the member area of our homepage under “Upgrade options”. For a monthly fee of 1,00 EUR/per room* you can call our support team unlimited during our office hours (mo-fr 08:00 - 18:00, MEZ).
* additionaly to your own seperate communication fees (phone line or cell phone fees)
Various:
- The extended reservation confirmation now also shows the details of several bookings made on the same room at different time periods.
- The replacement code $taxsum is now being replaced again.
- WBE: The city as a mandatory field is now also marked with a „*“.
Online
You are already connected to online-booking portals like booking.com or hotel.de or a channel manager like Cultuzz or Stardekk, but you would like to decrease the administration efforts? We have just the right solution for you with IDSConnect.
As a user of our Business Edition you can use IDS connect to directly interface your bookatonce with up to 3 portals or channel manager. According to the functionality offered by the portal availabilities and rates are transferred and/or reservations are imported automatically. Look up a list of all available connections here: LINK
